PROJECT SUMMARY:

Reckoner Productions are casting for a short film which will be entered into competition for Danny Elfman (The Corpse Bride, The Simpsons, A Nightmare Before Christmas) in which they use a piece of his music. 'The Emerald Stone' tells the story of two children; Sarah & Cian, who stay over night with their grandmother, who tells them the story behind a trinket she has; The Emerald Stone, that it once belonged to the fairies who created it to become 'big' again like they once were but because they could not work together the stone did not work. The children are staying over night due to their parents arguing, and Sarah feels like no one pays attention to her. That night she wishes she was big so she could run away, as no one even notices her and then she throws the stone out the window when it doesn't work. The next morning when she awakes she finds that sometimes wishes become blurred, and she finds herself and her brother two inches tall. They will have to work together over coming obstacles to reach the stone in the garden and wish to return back to normal size. However a surprise lays in store when we see what Cian wished for.
The film will be a mix of live action, stop motion animation and green screen vfx. 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' meets 'Small Soliders'.

This year's Late Late Toy Show takes place on Friday December 2nd and RTE are on the look out for the children who help make it a magical night.

Child Models aged 5-16 for Back-to-School campaign
Ryan Photography are looking for child models aged 5-16 years for a Back-to-School campaign for a major retailer.
Images will be featured in the 2016 Back-to-School catalogue and in-store for up to 3 months. Fee is €450 per model (inclusive of shoot, usage, chaperone and travel expenses). And the shoot would be no longer than 1 day per model, taking place in Kildare.
Anyone interested in applying should send 2 close-up photos (1 with smile, 1 with no smile) and 1 full length shot with your name, age, height in centimetres, your clothing size and shoe size.
The shots can be taken on a phone, but they should be taken in good light, clearly showing the subject's face with no hats or shades, etc. Please make sure shots are recent with current hair-cut, etc as we will be making decisions based on these shots. It's also very important that we know your exact height as there will be a number of set-ups for pairs and groups which are height specific - so please check this before applying and make sure the information is all accurate.
For full length photo, candidates should be dressed in school uniform or similar attire, but no need to look too neat / tidy as the shots will be very relaxed and we're looking for personalities to come across.

Star Search for Feature Film (Teens)
Casting Director Amy Rowan is on the hunt to find 2 young actors to take the lead roles in ‘Kissing Candice’ a feature film shooting in Ireland later this summer. The film will be directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Aoife McArdle who has made her mark with stylish music videos for U2, James Vincent McMorrow and Jon Hopkins. Amy has previously undertaken similar talent searches for TV and film projects such as ‘My Name Is Emily’ with Evanna Lynch “Moone Boy” with Chris O’Dowd, “Stella Days” with Martin Sheen and Lenny Abrahamson’s “Garage”.

Twelve-Media are looking to cast two boys aged around 9-13 years for the lead roles of an important new docu-drama called 'DETAINMENT'. These are demanding roles which require two really interesting actors.
In the course of the drama, the boys are detained by police and questioned about their suspected involvement in a serious crime. No experience is necessary, but we need two very special boys who can convey a range of emotions and take direction well.
The shoot will take place in Dublin in Summer 2016.

Identical Twins needed for Documentary
Loose Horse, an independent TV company in Ireland are looking for two sets of identical twins. One set in the 7-10 age bracket and the other in the 14-17 age bracket. It is for a shoot in UCD at 12-1pm on Monday June 13th. There is a small fee involved - €50 per person.
