Biography
Ethan is a friendly, polite, confident young man. He first caught the acting bug at the tender age of 8 when he secured the title role in "Oliver!" produced by O'Connell's Musical Society and hasn't looked back since!
In October 2018 Ethan was delighted to be offered the role of Aaron White in RTE's award-winning FAIR CITY. He very much enjoyed his time on this much-loved show.
In 2019 Ethan played the "love interest" in the video for Leah Barniville's (BGT 2017 semi-finalist) debut single "Everytime". A beautiful and talented young woman.
In October 2016 he finished filming his third short film "INSIDE I'M RACING" in which he portrays an autistic boy obsessed with motorsports and all things racing! It's a beautifully written piece, which had its worldwide debut screening at the 33rd Boston Film Festival. Since then it has had many screenings and won many awards at festivals throughout Ireland and around the world. You can also watch it on iTunes, AMAZON PRIME, or Google Play. Ethan worked with so many talented people on this project and gained invaluable experience.
In September 2014 Ethan was chosen as one of three presenters of the web-based SMYTHS TOYS REVIEWS.
In November 2013 Ethan played the part of Victor Frankenstein's brother in the exciting Sky Atlantic/Showtime TV Series PENNY DREADFUL.
In March 2014 he finished his second short film "SUBS". The film focuses on the friendship that develops between two boys from opposing football teams while waiting to be picked up by their parents. SUBS went on to win an Audience Award at the Chicago Irish Film Festival. Around this time Ethan also had a small role in another short film "GREENGATE" a dark film set in a dystopian future!
In August 2013 Ethan shot his first short film, "THE GOOD FATHER"; a poignant story set during WWII.
When Ethan was younger he appeared live many times on the popular RTE children's show ELEV8 and played the regular part of "Gory Rory" for the Gory Stories section of the show. He also had great fun playing various roles in "THE REPUBLIC OF TELLY" on RTE.
Ethan is extremely artistic and enjoys acting, writing, drawing, and reading. While at school he attended acting for camera classes every Saturday in Bow Street, and weekly writing workshops with "Fighting Words". He also loves playing basketball, chess, and playing piano.
In 2016 Ethan was honored to be chosen as one of only 8 teenagers in Ireland to work with Roddy Doyle's writing group "FIGHTING WORDS", in collaboration with THE ABBEY THEATRE, Dublin. Each teenager had the opportunity to work with professional writing mentors to create a short piece which was then staged by professional actors and directors at the ABBEY THEATRE, Dublin. In 2017 Ethan was thrilled to be invited back for a second year and his new piece was read on stage, once again at the ABBEY THEATRE, in March 2018.
Ethan is confident, attentive, and takes direction very well.
