Summary:
'Diatribe' is an independent feature film shooting in early 2026 in Kerry.
It’s a tense and contemporary thriller about a teenage boy who falls under the spell of a charismatic online influencer, putting his family into crisis.
This is a powerful, character-driven and topical film influenced by Adolescence and in the spirit of modern Irish films like The Quiet Girl and What Richard Did.

Casting Requirements :
FIONN - Lead Role
Age: Fionn is written as 16 / 17 years old. However, we are currently only considering actors aged 18+ to portray the role (or who will be 18 at time of filming).
Gender: Male
Description: Fionn is a bright but sensitive teenager caught between childhood and adulthood. At home he feels misunderstood and stifled; online he finds validation and belonging through a charismatic influencer who draws him into a darker world of conspiracy theories. Torn between loyalty to his family and the thrill of independence, Fionn is vulnerable, questioning, and desperate to define who he is.
Traits: Intelligent, idealistic, restless, with an underlying fragility. Needs an actor who can portray both the innocence of youth and the intensity of a young man being radicalized.
Accents: Irish (any regional, flexible).
Notes: Lead role. Significant screen time
