Angels In My Hair
(Short Film)
Summary:
This exciting new project is based on the life of Lorna Byrne, author of 7 best selling books, including Angels In My Hair, A Message of Hope and Angels At My Fingertips and she has been published in more than 50 countries and 30 languages around the world. Her books delve into her connection to the spiritual realm and how she has been guided through difficult times in her life by her remarkable gift of communication with the celestial beings.
This short film follows a day in the life of Lorna, set in the backdrop of Maynooth, Ireland in the mid 1980’s. Lorna and her husband, Joe, and their three children are living on the poverty line, struggling to put food on the table let alone pay the debt collector or “The Friday Man” as the children call him, each week. Joe is severely ill with Diabetes, which makes it difficult for him to work adding to the massive financial strains that the family are facing. When we meet Lorna in this short extract from her life, she is under immense pressure, she seems to be bursting at the seams with the weight of the burdens in her life. She is persuaded by one of her spiritual guides to go for a walk by herself and while doing so, she meets the “Mystery Angel”, who soothes Lorna and reminds her that she is not alone. It is a moment that should remind the viewer of the importance of connection and solidarity in times of stress, wether that be to a higher power or to those around you. The film will be a grounded and relatable tale of struggle with an inspiring ethereal twist that transcends the boundaries of our physical existence.
