Company :
Solomon Productions
Location :
Boys School, Smock Alley Theatre
Production Dates :
15-16 February 2019 (2 performances)
Fees :
profit-share (fee tbc)
Casting Requirements :
The playing age of the role is that of a girl/ghost aged 10. The performer will be petite (approx. 4'10" + ideally brown hair, blue eyes, pale complexion). She will either be a child of a similar age, or an older actress able to play 'down-age'. A willingness to perform in underwear and enact harrowing content will be required. As far as possible, a Manchester (England) accent is sought for the role, subject to final discussions with the director. It is envisaged that rehearsals would begin in earnest in early January 2020, though it is hoped that preliminary informal read-throughs/auditions may be possible before this. The role is very challenging and potentially traumatic given the material, but this is a potentially highly exciting opportunity for the right candidate to perform in a leading Dublin space with outstanding professional support as part of a groundbreaking show.
